The Basque engineering firm LKS has won the contract to draw up the project for the bridge which will join Zorrotzaurre and San Ignacio

The Zorrotzaurre Management Commission has, provisionally, awarded the Project design for the new bridge which will join Zorrotzaurre to San Ignacio to the Basque firm LKS Ingeniería S. Coop.

The firm tendered an offer for 121,100 Euros (ex VAT) for the work specified in the call for tenders and which must be completed within 6 months.

The drawing up of the project and the construction of the bridge will be financed by the Basque Government and managed by the Management Commission.

The call for tenders included terms of 199,000 Euros (ex VAT) and attracted 22 tenders (6 through consortiums) involving 29 engineering firms. The firms participating have collaborating with them, the most important Spanish civil engineers specialised in bridges.
